Description:

A busy steel and industrial hardware trading company requires an energetic and hands on person to oversee the full function of managing a busy warehouse.


Requirements:

  • At least 10 years’ steel industry experience as a Warehouse Manager is essential (knowledge of steel and tube products)
  • Computer literate on MS Office Suite and Syspro
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence is essential
  • Have a stable work record and contactable references
  • Of sober habits
  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet
  • Able to work retail hours – including Saturdays and Public Holidays on a roster basis (8am to 1pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire warehouse function
  • Manage Warehouse Staff
  • Handle all HR related issues for all staff under your control
  • Oversee the receiving of stock into the warehouse
  • Ensure the warehouse layout is always adhered to
  • Ensure goods received are per order and specification
  • Ensuring supply of the products are actioned per the company procedures and authorised as required
  • Ensure that despatched stock is loaded accurately and are checked as per company systems
  • Oversee and action daily stock checks
  • Plan and coordinate the team, in accordance with the defined objectives and procedures and carrying out the relevant follow ups
  • Train, develop and motivate staff
  • Ensure fulfilment of established deadlines of all required actions
  • Oversee the OHS requirements within your department
  • Ensure housekeeping is practiced daily
  • Coordinate and plan nightshift and overtime activities
  • Monitor asset utilisation and improve efficiencies

Description:

Our client is looking for a candidate who is actively fit and able to work on their feet and oversee the full function of receiving and dispatching of stock in a busy steel warehouse.


Requirements:

  • 3 or more years recent working experience in a steel or engineering warehouse would be an advantage
  • Computer literate
  • Experience supervising over staff
  • Experience working with mild steel products (tubing, sections, sheets, and plates)
  • Of sober habits
  • Energetic and physically fit
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport
  • Able to work retail hours, including Saturdays and public holidays from 8 to 1 on a roster basis
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the correct stock is received and dispatched
  • Performing general housekeeping duties and ensuring that the warehouse is neat and tidy
  • Working closely with the Warehouse Manager
  • Dealing with collecting customers

Description:

Our client is looking to fill 2 positions based in Boksburg and Wadeville, the ideal candidate must have experience as a Stock Controller in steel, fencing, wire and related industries is essential.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in purchasing / stock control
  • Sound SYSPRO knowledge would be advantageous
  • Intermediate MS EXCEL knowledge
  • Sound product knowledge required in Steel & Tube, fencing, wire and other related products

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and check stock
  • Record damages and shortages
  • Generate Return to Supplier for approval and processing
  • Confirm receipt of Purchase Order
  • Identify and mark branch stock according to Purchase Order
  • Receive and collate Pick Notes
  • Allocate Pick Notes to warehouse staff
  • Monitor status of Pick Notes
  • Generate invoices for collection of goods
  • Check dispatch of stock to supplementary pick slips and invoices
  • Record returns
  • Generate Requests for Credit Notes for approval and processing
  • Perform daily counts of stock
  • Assist with stock counts
  • General filing and administration
  • Will take full responsibility for the entire stock control function
