We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced External Sales Representative to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in the steel service centre industry, with a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes such as bending, rolling, guillotining, laser, profiling, and plasma cutting.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a steel service centre background.
• In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication processes.
• Able to read and quote off a technical drawing.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to drive sales growth.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the steel fabrication sector.
• Provide expert advice on steel fabrication processes and products to meet customer needs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Description:

A busy steel service centre requires an experienced Draughtsperson to join their dynamic drawing office.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12/ equivalent
• Completed draughting certificate / diploma

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a draughtsperson in a steel service centre.
• Computer literate (MS Office Word/Excel), AutoCAD & Sigmanest is essential.
• Technically minded.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Reside on the East Rand.
• Own transport.
• A stable work record and have contactable references.

Responsibilities:

• Drawing parts for cutting on laser, plasma, and profile machines.
• Creating chamfer, drilling, bending, and rolling drawings for the workshop.
• Quoting clients accurately according to drawings and assisting them with cutting selections.
• Developing flat drawings for cones and bent parts.
• Nesting parts for machines on Sigmanest.
• Maintaining cost effective estimations and accurately handling internal sales.
• Checking estimates for Representatives and rendering advice on costing’s, nesting’s etc. where required.
• Liaising with customers on specific projects and advising when necessary.
• Drawing and developing parts as required by customers.
• Changing nesting’s to different machines when necessary.
• Preparing material take-off from general arrangement drawings, customer DXF files and electronic media files.
• Preparing developments, drawings, and nesting’s.
• Liaising with customers, dealing with queries and complaints.
• Expediting orders to completion in conjunction with Workshop Management.
• Checking methods for better quality, material certificate issues and traceability issues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients in the fabrication industry, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions
• Act as a technical liaison between customers and our fabrication team, ensuring clear communication of specifications and requirements
• Utilize your in-depth knowledge of steel plate cutting, bending, rolling, and fabrication to effectively showcase our capabilities and products to potential clients
