Overview
Our client is seeking a technically minded Sales Representative to service new and existing customers’ fabrication and cut-to-size requirements. This role suits someone from a steel service centre / cut-to-size environment who can interpret drawings, quote accurately, and grow accounts through cold calling and relationship building.
Ideal profile:
Cut-to-size trading experience (flame/plasma) + confident quoting from drawings + customer-facing relationship building + disciplined pipeline and target delivery.
Experience & Requirements
- Grade 12 / equivalent.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to read and quote from technical drawings.
- Recent trading experience in:
- Flame cutting
- Plasma cutting
- Bending
- Rolling
- Confident with cold calling, relationship building, and achieving targets.
- Ability to offer technical advice and recommend suitable fabrication solutions.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (car allowance provided).
- Stable work record with contactable references.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Service new and existing customers with cut-to-size and fabrication requirements.
- Interpret drawings and prepare accurate quotations for cutting, bending and rolling work.
- Drive sales through cold calling, follow-ups and account development.
- Provide technical guidance to customers on suitable solutions, tolerances and processing options.
- Manage your sales pipeline, maintain CRM/admin, and consistently work toward targets.
- Build long-term relationships with fabricators, engineers and procurement teams.
