Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated internal or external sales representative with hands-on experience in steel fabrication processes — including laser cutting, profile and plasma cutting, bending, and related fabrication services — to join our client’s team. This role suits someone who can translate technical requirements into practical solutions, quote accurately from drawings, and build strong long-term client relationships.
Ideal profile:
Fabrication sales + strong plate laser cutting understanding + confident drawing interpretation/quoting + proactive client engagement + solid coordination with production/engineering to deliver on spec and timelines.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven sales experience in the steel fabrication industry, with a strong understanding of steel plate laser cutting.
- Technical expertise to interpret client requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Ability to read and quote from technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build lasting relationships.
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with fabrication clients, understanding needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and the fabrication team, ensuring specifications are clearly communicated.
- Showcase capabilities across laser cutting, profile/plasma cutting, bending, rolling and fabrication to win new work.
- Identify new opportunities, conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations and contracts to prospective clients.
