PAIA Manual

This manual is published in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act, Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”), as amended, and read together with the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

1. Introduction

The Promotion of Access to Information Act (“PAIA”) gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information held by private bodies when such information is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.

A requester must submit a written request using the prescribed Form 2 (available from the Information Regulator) to the Information Officer.

The request must clearly identify the record requested and the right being exercised or protected.

7. Fees

Access to records may be subject to the fees prescribed by PAIA. Requesters will be informed of any applicable fees before the request is processed.

8. Grounds for Refusal

Access to records may be refused on the grounds set out in PAIA, including but not limited to the protection of personal information, confidential commercial information, and legally privileged records.

9. POPIA Compliance

This PAIA Manual must be read together with Worxs4u Recruitment’s POPIA Notice. Personal information is processed lawfully and securely in accordance with POPIA.
