Overview
Help power plants run safely and efficiently by delivering best-in-class valve and automation solutions. We’re hiring a consultative Sales Consultant to grow our client’s footprint in Secunda and the wider Northern Region, building strong customer relationships, uncovering opportunities, and partnering with engineering and service teams to solve complex process challenges.
Ideal profile:
Control valve sales (3+ years) + process plant exposure (power generation ideal) + consultative, face-to-face selling + CRM opportunity management + confident sizing/selection with engineering support.
Experience & Requirements
- Matric and N3 (minimum) in Process Instrumentation or Mechanical; N6 preferred.
- Industrial Trade Test in Instrumentation.
- Solid control valve sales knowledge as a Sales Engineer with 3+ years’ industry experience.
- Process plant exposure, ideally power generation applications.
- Proficient with CRM and opportunity management.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Must be passionate about sales.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hunt and win new business across the power sector.
- Lead face-to-face, consultative sales meetings and site walk-downs.
- Deliver technical product demos and value-based presentations.
- Qualify, size, and select control valves with support from engineering.
- Drive daily follow-ups on quotations and capture win/loss reasons in CRM.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and execute sales plans to hit budget.
- Promote service and repair capabilities; develop leads for ACS Service.
- Track and plan around customer shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels.
