Overview

You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting a range of measurement and instrumentation solutions. The role requires a blend of technical insight and sales expertise, along with a proactive approach to client engagement.

Ideal profile:

Technical consultative seller with instrumentation fundamentals (N3+), confident on site walk-downs, disciplined CRM usage, and strong after-sales service mindset.

Experience & Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum N3 in Process Instrumentation (N6 advantageous).
  • Trade Test in Instrumentation preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ industry experience (process plant exposure advantageous).
  • Previous technical sales experience beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate new business and pursue potential customers.
  • Conduct on-site consultations and technical product presentations.
  • Manage and update the CRM system with opportunities, sales plans, and activities.
  • Execute sales strategies to achieve targets and meet budgets.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Gather data for sizing and selection and liaise with internal support resources.
  • Deliver effective after-sales service and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Plan and lead site walk-downs, capturing accurate technical information.
  • Promote service and repair capabilities across the region.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer shutdowns, outages, and planned maintenance.
