Ideal profile:
Consultative sales professional with hands-on control valve knowledge, strong follow-through, and confidence engaging process plant customers face-to-face.
Experience & Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) and N3 (Process Instrumentation or Mechanical) minimum; N6 preferred.
- Industrial Trade Test in Instrumentation (advantageous).
- Solid control valve knowledge and 2+ years’ industry experience.
- Process plant exposure (advantageous).
- CRM discipline with strong follow-through.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Win new business through face-to-face, consultative selling.
- Plan and run customer visits, site walk-downs, and technical demonstrations.
- Qualify opportunities, follow up on quotations daily, and capture win/loss reasons in the CRM.
- Execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed budget.
- Gather data for valve sizing and selection; collaborate with sales support and engineering.
- Promote ACS service and repair capabilities and generate service leads.
- Track customer shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds with accurate records.
- Build relationships with new stakeholders and uncover fresh opportunities.
