Overview
Our client is seeking a Junior Stock Controller with experience working in a workshop environment. The role focuses on day-to-day stock control, capturing received and dispatched items, and supporting purchasing and inventory processes.
Ideal profile:
Grade 12 + 2+ years hands-on stock control (parts/tools) in a workshop setting + Excel confidence + Syspro exposure (advantage) + accurate, organised and able to handle queries and stock takes.
Experience & Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience working with stock in a workshop environment (parts, pumps, generators, hand and power tools).
- Computer literate with strong Excel ability.
- Syspro experience is advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Control and manage stock in the warehouse/workshop stores area.
- Capture data for stock received and stock dispatched.
- Purchase parts, stock, tools and stationery as required.
- Handle petty cash where applicable.
- Resolve inventory queries and follow up discrepancies.
- Perform stock takes and assist with inventory reporting.
- Transfer parts between warehouses as required.
- Assist in planning daily and weekly jobs with the workshop team.
- Replenish stock levels and maintain minimum quantities.
- Issue stock to relevant departments and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Close job cards and support job documentation processes.
