Overview

We are seeking a Junior Draughtsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a steel service centre environment and be confident in producing accurate technical drawings. This role supports production and sales by ensuring drawings are correct, clearly communicated, and revision-controlled.

Ideal profile:

2+ years steel service centre draughting + strong 2D AutoCAD + careful attention to detail + good communication with production/sales. SigmaNEST exposure is a big advantage.

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience as a draughtsman within a steel service centre environment.
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD (required); SigmaNEST would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings.
  • Translate technical requirements into clear, accurate designs.
  • Work closely with production and sales teams to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility.
  • Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions and issue history.
  • Support additional drafting requirements as needed to meet deadlines.
