Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to spearhead market development of a safety valve product range. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales in the valve industry and a proven track record of building client relationships across Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Energy, Pulp & Paper, Mining, and broader process sectors.
Availability:
Must be available to start immediately or by 5 January 2026.
Ideal profile:
5+ years technical valve sales + strong understanding of safety valves + confident business development + comfortable in process industries + travel-ready + disciplined pipeline and reporting.
Experience & Requirements
- Grade 12 / equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales within the valve industry.
- Strong understanding of safety valves and their applications in targeted industries.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., N6 or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to travel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to introduce and promote safety valve products across designated industries.
- Identify and engage potential clients, building strong relationships to drive business growth.
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring product suitability and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform sales strategy.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to overall business success.
