Overview
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Industria, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team and report directly to the Financial Director.
The ideal candidate must have strong accounting experience, including bookkeeping to Balance Sheet, financial reporting, cash flow management, cost accounting, inventory controls, compliance and internal controls.
This role requires someone analytical, detail-driven, deadline-focused and confident in managing accounting operations within a busy manufacturing environment.
Ideal profile:
A detail-driven Senior Accountant with strong manufacturing finance experience, cost accounting, inventory controls, bookkeeping to Balance Sheet, management accounts, Pastel Evolution and advanced Excel skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CGMA, ACCA or CIMA would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years’ accounting experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting role.
- Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Pastel Evolution experience would be an advantage.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain and oversee bookkeeping to Balance Sheet.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts.
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash forecasts.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Develop and improve inventory management controls and procedures.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure VAT, tax and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and improve internal controls.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Assist the Financial Director with reports, special projects, budgeting, forecasting and financial insights.
