Roodepoort Gauteng Permanent Market Related Internal Sales

Overview

Our client, a local manufacturer of ladders based in Roodepoort, is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Junior Internal Salesperson to join their team.

The role will involve assisting customers, preparing quotations, following up on sales opportunities, processing orders, supporting external sales representatives, and assisting with basic marketing and online lead coordination.

Ideal profile:

A reliable, organised and confident internal salesperson with strong customer service ability, accurate admin skills, and experience in a manufacturing, hardware, construction or industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in internal sales, sales support or customer service.
  • Experience in manufacturing, hardware, construction or an industrial environment would be an advantage.
  • Computer literate.
  • Experience with marketing coordination or digital marketing would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Accurate, organised and able to follow up professionally.
  • Able to work well with production, dispatch, logistics and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and walk-in customers.
  • Prepare and issue quotations accurately and promptly.
  • Follow up on quotations to convert opportunities into sales.
  • Process customer orders and ensure correct capturing.
  • Coordinate with production, dispatch and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Assist external sales representatives with quotations, pricing and customer support.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and communication history.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers.
  • Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Assist in onboarding new customers, including credit applications.
  • Assist in executing marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Coordinate and manage email marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating customer databases.
  • Support management of website enquiries and online leads.
  • Support with social media content coordination and posting.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, brochures and product information.
  • Help monitor marketing performance and customer engagement.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, discounts and product information are used.
  • Assist with sales reporting and tracking performance.
  • Support maintenance of price lists and product information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
  • Maintain organised filing and documentation systems.
