Overview
A well-established steel and tube supplier in Pretoria is looking for an experienced Internal Sales Trader to join their team.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience in the steel and tube industry and be confident assisting customers with product enquiries, quotations, pricing, order processing and stock availability.
This role would suit someone who is customer-focused, accurate, organised and able to work well in a busy sales environment.
Ideal profile:
An experienced Internal Sales Trader with strong steel and tube product knowledge, quotation and pricing experience, customer service ability, order processing skills and confidence handling multiple enquiries under pressure.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years’ previous internal sales experience within the steel and tube industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel and tube products.
- Able to assist walk-in and telephonic customers professionally.
- Experience with quotations, pricing, order processing and customer follow-ups.
- Good computer skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work under pressure and handle multiple enquiries.
- Reliable, accurate and well organised.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist customers telephonically with their product selections.
- Prepare quotations and process customer orders.
- Check stock availability and follow up on outstanding orders.
- Advise customers on steel and tube products.
- Liaise with warehouse, dispatch and sales teams.
- Maintain good customer relationships.
