We are continually seeking talented internal sales professionals with a background in the steel industry. We have various positions available across the South, East, North, and West Rand.
Ideal profile:
Strong steel and tube product knowledge + confident phone/email sales + fast quoting and follow-up + consistent target delivery.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience within the steel industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel products, grades, and applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in sales-related software and ERP systems.
- Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage customer enquiries and provide professional sales support via phone, email, and in person.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations and sales orders for steel and tube products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Monitor and update customer accounts to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with external sales teams to ensure cohesive customer service and sales strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and industry trends.
- Provide technical advice on product applications and specifications as needed.
- Assist in inventory management and stock level coordination.
- Proactively seek new sales opportunities within the steel and tube industry.
