Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic and technically minded Internal Salesperson to join their sales team in Pretoria and resell their wide range of fluid control products.
The ideal candidate must have experience selling steel pipes, fittings, irrigation products, pumps, valves and flanges, with the ability to convert incoming enquiries into sales, prepare quotations, source stock, process orders and achieve monthly sales and GP targets.
Ideal profile:
A technically minded Internal Salesperson with strong fluid control and irrigation product knowledge, including steel pipes, fittings, pumps, valves and flanges, plus good quotation, order processing, stock sourcing and customer follow-up experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / equivalent.
- 3 or more years’ working experience reselling steel pipes, fittings, irrigation products, pumps, valves and flanges.
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
- Computer literate.
- Strong selling and communication skills.
- Stable work record with contactable references.
- Able to work every second Saturday.
- Must reside in Pretoria.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer incoming calls and convert enquiries into sales.
- Assist customers with products and suitable sales solutions.
- Assist in sourcing standard and non-standard stock.
- Process customer orders accurately.
- Expedite deliveries and collection instructions.
- Provide quotations to clients and follow up.
- Develop new sales opportunities through cold calls to potential clients.
- Ensure monthly sales and GP targets are achieved.
- Handle general administrative duties.
