Overview
Our client, a local supplier in Kimberley, is looking for a dynamic and technically minded Internal Salesperson to join their sales team and resell their wide range of fluid control products.
The ideal candidate must have experience selling steel pipes, fittings, valves and flanges, with the ability to convert incoming enquiries into sales, prepare quotations, source standard and non-standard stock, process orders and achieve monthly sales and GP targets.
Ideal profile:
A technically minded Internal Salesperson with strong product knowledge of steel pipes, fittings, valves, flanges and related fluid control products, plus good quotation, order processing, stock sourcing and customer follow-up experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / equivalent.
- 3 or more years’ working experience trading steel pipes, fittings, valves, flanges and related fluid control products.
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
- Computer literate.
- Strong selling and communication skills.
- Stable work record with contactable references.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer incoming calls and convert enquiries into sales.
- Assist customers with products and suitable sales solutions.
- Assist in sourcing standard and non-standard stock.
- Process customer orders accurately.
- Expedite deliveries and collection instructions.
- Provide quotations to clients and follow up.
- Develop new sales opportunities through cold calls to potential clients.
- Ensure monthly sales and GP targets are achieved.
- Handle general administrative duties.
