Overview
Our client, a leading stockist of mild steel and tube based in Wetton, Cape Town, is looking for a dynamic External Sales Representative to join their sales team.
The ideal candidate must be hungry for sales, confident developing new business, able to manage existing accounts and comfortable providing product knowledge and advice to customers in the mild steel and tube sector.
Ideal profile:
A self-motivated and target-driven External Sales Representative with mild steel and tube experience, strong negotiation skills, new business development ability and proven account management experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in external sales, preferably within the steel and tube industry.
- Strong understanding of mild steel and related products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage existing accounts.
- Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Actively seek new business opportunities and drive sales growth within the steel and tube sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Provide technical product knowledge and advice to customers.
- Identify market trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports and presentations.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
