Overview

A manufacturer of ladders, castors and wheels based in Roodepoort is looking to employ a dynamic External Salesperson to resell their range of products.

The ideal candidate should have experience in external sales, sales support or customer service, with exposure to manufacturing, retail hardware stores, construction or related industries. This role requires someone who can call on new and existing customers, build relationships, prepare quotations, close deals and ensure excellent customer service.

Ideal profile:

A dynamic External Salesperson with experience calling on manufacturing, retail hardware, construction and related customers, with strong quotation, order follow-up, customer relationship and deal-closing ability.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in external sales, sales support or customer service.
Experience calling on manufacturing, retail hardware stores, construction and related industries.
Own reliable transport.
A car allowance will be provided.
Computer literate.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Able to build relationships, follow up professionally and close deals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Call on new and existing customers and resell a wide range of ladders, castors and wheels.
Build and maintain relationships with customers.
Close deals and convert sales opportunities.
Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and walk-in customers.
Prepare and issue quotations accurately and promptly.
Follow up on quotations to convert opportunities into sales.
Process customer orders and ensure correct capturing.
Coordinate with production, dispatch and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
Maintain accurate customer records and communication history.
Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
Assist in executing marketing campaigns and promotions.
Ensure accurate pricing, discounts and product information is used.
