Overview
A busy steel and hardware retailer on the East Rand is looking to employ an energetic and outgoing Counter Sales professional to assist customers with product selections, quotations, and order processing.
Ideal profile:
Counter sales experience + strong steel/tube & industrial hardware knowledge + confident customer engagement + accurate quoting.
Experience & Requirements
- 2 years’ experience selling mild steel and industrial hardware products is essential and non-negotiable.
- Computer literate.
- Syspro experience will be an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with all enquiries.
- Answer incoming calls and convert enquiries into sales.
- Assist with product solutions and sourcing stock (standard and non-standard).
- Process customer orders and expedite deliveries or collection instructions.
- Provide accurate quotations to customers.
- Develop new sales opportunities through cold calling.
- Handle administrative duties related to sales.
- Liaise with the warehouse manager regarding deliveries.
- Provide leads and feedback to external sales staff.
